Celebrate the magic of reading on HARRY POTTER BOOK DAY 12 October!
Want to join a fun Harry Potter event?
This year your school or library can celebrate Harry Potter Book Day by joining a free online event starring actor Evanna Lynch (who played Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter films).
It doesn’t matter if you’re a big Harry Potter fan or new to the series, you can be part of the magic!
This will be a world-wide event that any school, library or book shop can host. It is a 40-minute virtual lesson which is designed for readers aged seven to 11, whether or not you’re a Harry Potter fan or new to the series.
This video event will be available for free to any bookstore, library, school or home educator to play on Harry Potter Book Day, 12 October (or any day after that suits you)!
Any teacher, librarian or Harry Potter fan who signs up to receive the digital Harry Potter Book Day event kit or the Harry Potter e-newsletter will receive a link to the online event a few days before Harry Potter Book Day.
The link can be played at your event via Youtube or Twinkl, on or after Harry Potter Book Day, and will include fun, interactive activities such as creative writing, drawing and spell casting, to inspire a new generation of readers, writers, illustrators and creative thinkers.
